We have signed an agreement with a Bulgarian management company who will rent the apartment for the season 2009. They have agreements with large tour operators and take a commission on 20% of the rent they get from the tour operators. In the high season we estimate this to generate 55-60 EUR per day (after deducting the 20%) with lower rates outside the high season.
The season starts beginning of May and finishes end of October. It is unlikely that the apartment will be fully occupied during the entire season. The owner is allowed to let and use the apartment themselves, 15 days notice needs to be given to the management company. Included in the 20% margin is cleaning of the apartment, managing keys etc. The management company will also clean the apartment after private lettings or use by the owner, for a fee around 20 EUR per cleaning.
